Every YogaBugs class is a fun themed adventure stretching the imagination of the children participating whilst providing them with the benefits of yoga.  Children love the stories and songs that the classes provide and every child excels at their own ability with this non-competitive, fun and often noisy (!) session.

Classes can be for children alone to take part (such as during the nursery/school day, breakfast, lunch and after school clubs) or alternatively as a class with parental involvement.

So if you are looking for a yoga class for school children, pre-schoolers or just wanting fun for the holidays; through our exercise driven classes we can offer them a fun learning experience and a great physical work out!

Yoga'd Up Classes are also now available.   Yoga classes that are structured to appeal to an age group who want to be physically challenged and entertained. Classes include using a combination of postures, partner poses and fun yoga games as well as being mentally guided through relaxation and visualisation techniques.

If you are a school, nursery or an organisation in South Northants and you would like to see what we can offer please do contact us.

We can also arrange for a free demonstration class, call Zena on 0845 863 0685 for details.

Love Yoga? Love Children? – Why not combine the two?

Yoga has so many benefits for children.  Helping to improve their self-confidence as well as increasing concentration, co-ordination and balance levels.  Every child can shine in our non-compeitive but often challenging classes.

Would you like to combine your love of yoga with teaching children? Teaching yoga to children is such a fulfilling, fun and rewarding job!

Could you encourage even the most shyest of children to become a roaring lion?

I am always delighted to hear from enthusistic, energetic and creative people who would like to work with children whilst sharing their love of yoga.

Successful applicants will be funded through the YogaBugs Teacher Training Course.

Ideally candidates are available from Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm and are available to do birthday parties which include occasional weekend work.  The candidates should have a desire and enthusiasm to work with children, and they must have at least 2 years of yoga practice (5 years for Yoga’d Up).

About the Team

I am Jane Richardson and have been teaching with Yogabugs since May 2007 in the Northampton and surrounding areas.  I am a qualified Adult teacher running regular weekly classes in Olney and have also gained my qualification in Indian Head Massage.  After the birth of my second daughter I decided I wanted to work with children.  Having a professional background in Training and Development, Yogabugs seemed the ideal solution - working with children, helping them see the benefits of yoga in a fun and exciting way and continuing with the training and development theme.  I thoroughly enjoy working with the children, developing interesting stories and seeing how they gain confidence as well as flexibility.

Hi, I’m Liz Willis and I joined Zena ‘s team in 2008.  I have practised yoga since my late teens and after having my third child, I qualified as a Yoga teacher, initially teaching adults.  I currently teach several adult classes and also some Chair Yoga classes to those aged 50 plus, the oldest participant being 87!My interest in yoga led me to take a Diploma in Remedial Yoga and in Indian Head Massage (Jane and I qualified on the same course!).As I have three children who are all quite sporty, teaching yoga to children seemed a natural progression.

In June 2008, I qualified with YogaBugs and started to teach yoga to 2-7year olds, which is fun, lively and energetic!  In November 2008, I took further training and am now a qualified Yoga’d Up teacher, teaching yoga in a more mature way to children aged 8-12 years old. It is great to see how Yoga benefits all ages and abilities, and lovely for me to see the contrast of these benefits through each stage of life.

Hi i'm Marion Williams. I became a member of Zena's Yogabugs family in 2008, after Liz recommended me.
A large part of my past career was as a nanny which I truly loved. this then led me into nanny recruitment and a learning support teacher..
As for now,  i'm a Level one football coach at Grendon Sapphires and also a assistant coach at diamonds gymnastics club.
I have two children who love sport, one of whom does gymnastics and yoga is brilliant for  keeping children supple and my other child was diagnosed with hyper mobility, as yoga strengthens muscle and this is very important -  again yoga is the answer.
I love teaching all the YogaBugs postures and seeing all children benefit and improve as each session continues.

About the Regional Manager

As a Mum myself, I have a keen interest healthy lifestyles for little ones.

I chose to become a franchisee as it not only offers me a great, fun business working with like-minded people but at the same time allows me to a provide fun-themed classes to children who whilst visiting the moon or the jungle are benefiting from the many advantages of yoga.  I am certainly not a fitness goddess but I do bring lots of enthusiasm, energy and fun to the classes!

My background is with the pharmaceutical industry, a world apart from YogaBugs, but I bring with me experience in managing, sales and business development.

My aim is to bring YogaBugs and Yoga’d Up to the South Northants area and have as many children participating in the classes as possible and experiencing the benefits for themselves.  To do this, I would like to grow my existing small number of fabulous teachers to a larger team and to work with them to ensure that teaching YogaBugs and Yoga’d Up becomes a great part of their life too.
