Central London

YogaBugs has come to Central London!

We run fun, interactive yoga activities for children aged between 2.5 - 12.  We hold classes in schools, nurseries and community venues as well as delivering private classes out of school hours.

YogaBugs is fun yoga for 2.5 - 7 year olds.  Classes are taught through stories and children will perform various yoga postures whilst taking part in a magical adventure.  Children might go on an African safari, a deep sea dive or a mission to the moon, all without leaving the room!  They get a full physical work out before we take them through a brief relaxation and visualisation, leaving them feeling calm and balanced.

Yoga'd Up is yoga for older children aged 8-12 years old.  Classes are structured to appeal to an age group who want to be physically challenged, mentally stimulated and entertained.  Classes include a variety of postures, partner poses and fun yoga games.  Children end the class with relaxation and visualisation techniques.  The combination of all these ingredients help to support them through a time of pre-teen change and beyond to adolescence.

Classes are now available in the City of London, Tower Hamlets, Islington, Marylebone, Hackney, Westminster and Camden.

About the Regional Manager

Website photo.jpg

Alex Garrick is the regional director for YogaBugs Central London.  Having just qualified as a solicitor and spent five years working in the City, she decided the rat race wasn't for her and was driven to look for something she would find more fulfilling.

She loves children and is excited to be helping to lay strong foundations for the next generation.  She is particularly fascinated by how we develop emotionally from birth and how we can safeguard children's confidence and self-esteem, so that children go out into the world as whole human beings with an unshakeable sense of self-worth and the belief to pursue their hopes and dreams, whatever they may be.

Her passion for yoga developed whilst studying at university, where it helped to alleviate exam stress and give her peace of mind.  She enjoys hatha and vinyasa and is currently learning more about Scaravelli yoga and how it can help relieve back pain.

It's a world away from life in the City and a change she is very much enjoying!
