In today’s society of technology and pressure, it can be hard for children to “quiet their minds” and focus on tasks ahead.

Practicing mindfulness can help shift the focus away from worry and anxiety and help children focus. It helps children manage stress, regulate their emotions, and develop a positive outlook.

 Mindfulness is a meditation practice that begins with paying attention to breathing in order to focus on the here  and now, not what happened in the past or what you’re worried could happen in the future.

 The goal is to teach the children how to create enough distance from disturbing thoughts and emotions to be
 able to observe them without immediately reacting to them and dealing with them at the right time in the
 right way.

 YogaBugs Mindfulness courses are available for children in KS1 and KS2 with specific courses for exam preparation
 and transition.

We also offer mindfulness as a breakfast club to help children start the day positively or as an After School Club to help them burn off any extra energy and send them home relaxed and feeling positive.
