In September 2006, Nel and Lara shunned offers of cash on BBC 2's Dragons Den. The duo went in asking for £250,000 for a 15% equity stake of their business. After hours of interrogation, Nel and Lara received 3 offers from the multi-millionaire panel. Richard Farleigh, Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meaden were all after a slice of YogaBugs, the problem was they were asking for a 30% stake in the business. Nel and Lara, staying true to their word of only giving up a 15% stake declined the Dragons offers and walked away. Although it is extremely attractive for a small business to accept investment, the girls remained determined and committed and made the brave step to look elsewhere.
